**Physics reaches from the quark out to the largest of galaxies, while Astrophysics emphasises the underlying physical concepts of the stars and galaxies, which make up the Universe. In your fourth year you will dive deeper into the subject by working on a research project in an area of your choosing, enhancing your skills and knowledge.This degree programme introduces you to a range of introductory modules such as Mechanics and relativity and thermodynamics as well as computing skills and mathematics, before progressing to more specialist topics including quantum and atomic physics and a new laboratory module based on data analysis. You’ll also study specialist modules such as spacecraft design, observational astronomy and The Physics of Stars, Galaxies and Cosmology.
