The University of La Verne is a private university, around 35 miles from Los Angeles. At eight regional campuses in California, La Verne provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses and professional degrees.
Today, the university has over 50 undergraduate courses and more than 20 postgraduate qualifications. It also offers further education opportunities through doctorates and credential programs. With over 6,000 students at all levels, including hundreds of international students, La Verne provides an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
The University of La Verne's main campus provides students with many modern facilities to support learning and extracurricular activities. On campus, the arts are well supported, with several galleries, photography studios and theatres.
Students who attend La Verne will have different options for accommodation. At present, there are three different halls of residence at the university. First, Citrus Hall is available for first-year students. and it has a range of two and three-bedroom options. Alternatively, students can find housing at the Vista La Verne or the Oaks.
However, the university works with some rental property owners to provide off-campus accommodation. Students can find a list of rental accommodations off campus on La Verne’s official website.
The university also has four sports venues for athletics, fitness and swimming.
Elvin and Betty Wilson Library provide academic resources for the main campus.
A vibrant on-campus community exists at La Verne, and the university has its own culture and traditions. Also, students can join clubs and sports teams or take up other hobbies. Some of the extracurricular options include performing arts, radio presenting, leadership roles and athletics clubs.
Campuses
The city of La Verne is the closest town to the university. Here students will find a laid-back atmosphere and a slower pace of life. However, there are plenty of things to do with coffee shops, restaurants and shopping centres.
The University of La Verne is located in the foothills of the San Gabriel MountainsSouthern California. As a result, students can find plenty of outdoor activities and hikes around the local areas.
But if you prefer the business of urban life, then L.A., San Diego, and Santa Barbara are all reachable from the Metrolink train line. Alternatively, you can drive to these cities in between studies.
