Overview

Our commitment to cancer research has resulted in the launch of Liverpool Cancer Research UK Centre - an organisation that brings together scientists, clinicians and local stakeholders to lead and deliver cancer research of the highest quality and importance.

Professor John Ellershaw is the Director of the Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute Liverpool. This is a partnership between Marie Curie, the University of Liverpool and the Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The main areas of research are care of dying, ethics and medical education.
