On our unique degree title, professional accreditation means further training can lead you to gain Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status. The first year is common with BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering with Composites and BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, allowing you to swap courses.* Progress onto the MEng (Hons) Marine Technology at the end of the second year if you are doing well.* Join a course accredited by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE) and the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), which can lead to Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with further study.* Increase your opportunities with a solid base in mechanical engineering and an emphasis on design, opening up a variety of possible careers.* Lay strong foundations for a successful career using our extensive industry links to secure a paid, one-year work placement.
