BA (Hons) Law with English Literature
This course enables students to combine both Law and English in a Qualifying Law Degree. The programme investigates the links between law and literature, how the legal system is portrayed in literature and the influence works of literature have had on the history and development of the legal system. Linguistic creativity is central to the law, with literary modes such as narrative and metaphor infiltrating legal texts. Equally, legal norms of good and bad conduct are reflected or subverted in literature's engagement with questions of law and justice. Bangor University is recognised as a qualifying law degree provider by the Bar Standards Board and this degree is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
