Baylor University is a private Christian University in Waco, Texas. It opened in 1845 and is the oldest university in operation in Texas. Waco is a small, inclusive and diverse town that welcomes students from all backgrounds. It has a culturally varied makeup as half of the community comes from ethnically diverse backgrounds or heritage. As a result, the town celebrates different cultures through unique and interesting restaurants, museums, cultural institutions and events.
