Associate in Science (AS) Biotechnology
Courses within the Biological Sciences Department prepare students for both vocational careers and for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The courses and laboratories we offer allow students to experience and understand the diversity of life and how it functions on a scale ranging from molecules to ecosystems. Biotechnology courses demonstrate the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine, and other applications.
An Associate in Science Degree may be earned by completing a minimum of 60 units of degree credit coursework, including the major requirements and breadth requirements, with a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Students must complete all courses for the major with a grade of C or better.
