BA (Hons) Game Art
Accredited by Creative Skillset, Game Art at De Montfort University allows you to use your creative and technical skills to design game content using the latest technology. The course covers three main areas of game art; Game Production, Visual Design and Critical Game Studies, which will allow you to develop your practical expertise in the understanding of anatomy and form of visual design, 3D modelling, mapping, special effects and using a range of traditional tools and digital techniques required for the gaming industry. Our students recently took home first, second and third place in the national 'Off the Map' competition to design a game fitting a specific brief. Game Art was awarded 98% overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2018 and 94.4% of our Game Art graduates from summer 2017 are in work or further study after graduating according to the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) 2016-17 report.
