DePaul University is a private Catholic university in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1898, the university takes its name from the 17th-century French priest Saint Vincent de Paul who spent his life serving the poor. In 1998, it became the largest Catholic university in terms of enrollment in North America.

Campuses
Chicago is colloquially referred to as the Windy City due to its close proximity to Lake Michigan, one of the largest bodies of freshwater in the world. Chicago also has a rich cultural and literary heritage, with budding journalists moving there from around the world and deep-dish pizza deriving from this dot on the US map.
As such, there is lots to see and do at a smaller cost-of-living than some of the other major cities in America. Winter can be chilly in the windy city so your sensitivity to cold should be considered, but there are an abundance of job opportunities and a diverse local community to factor into your decision. The food scene and chance to watch live sporting events also add to the fun a student can have in Chicago.
