Arts: Joint Honours (Politics)
Choose from a range of Arts subjects for a degree with multifaceted perspectives. You’ll examine areas central to contemporary society, including tradition, culture, world religions, theology, law, politics, communication, human-environment relations, and human behavior.
You’ll graduate with an honours degree in Politics (DC295); this course is described in more detail in the About the Course tab above.
You’ll have the option to take a year abroad, extending your degree to four years and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) International.
Internship Year
You can opt to apply for a year-long INTRA work placement in Year Three. This will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your CV, increase your employability and experience the relevance of your study in the real world. This programme will prepare you for a variety of careers and also provides a foundation for postgraduate study.
It has been a great experience getting to be one of the first students to study the unique blend of Politics and Geography together on the BAJP programme. Both subjects have overlapped with one another at times making studying this specific combination of subjects even more interesting. Getting to be on both Glasnevin and St. Pats campus was an amazing aspect that really helped to boost the course experience.
