Highlights
Florida Atlantic University is a public research university with its main campus in Boca Raton, Florida. The University enables students to choose from over 170 undergraduate and graduate degree programs across its ten colleges. Research Facilities: FAU is home to several research facilities, including the Center for Complex Systems and Brain Sciences, the Center for Environmental Studies, and the Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
Accommodation on campus is varied and consists of traditional residence halls with dormitory-style living, apartment-style housing in various furnished apartments, and even suites. Heritage Park Towers, Innovation Village Apartments, and Glades Park Towers are all apartments with private bedrooms and bathrooms to allow for a more independent lifestyle while still facilitating on-campus social activities. Parliament Hall and Indian River Towers are two suite-style housing options typically consisting of a shared kitchenette, living area, and private bathrooms and bedrooms. All on-campus accommodation is organized on a first-come, first-served basis.
Some international students opt for off-campus housing as there are many diverse options in Boca Raton, Florida. University Park Condominiums and the Boca Terrace Condominiums give students the unique experience of living in a ‘condo’. Many apartment complexes and houses are situated in close proximity to the University too.
There are various libraries on campus, including the Science and Engineering Library, Jupiter Campus Library, and Wimberly Library. Each library has a wealth of resources, from journals to books and quiet study spaces.
FAU has several athletics facilities on its campus, including the FAU Arena, FAU Stadium, and the FAU Tennis Complex.
The Florida Atlantic University campus is sizable and populated with socially active students. Around 5,000 events occur on campus every year to allow students to diversify their downtime. Approximately 400 student clubs and organizations reflecting different interests are available for students to join, from recreational sports clubs to identity-based activities.
Sixteen food places can be found across campus, including popular chain restaurants and nutritious food outlets. Sports are a big part of campus life, as you can support your local team with front-row seats. Students can participate in a University-led Outdoor adventures program or use the fitness facilities available on campus too.

Boca Raton is located in Palm Beach County in Florida. Many coffee shops and parks are throughout the area so that students can have lots of leisure time. The weather is famously sunny, and the nightlife offers trendy wine bars, craft cocktails, and happy hours in late-night lounges. The nearby museums provide students with plenty of cultures, such as the Boca Raton Museum of Art, The Morikami Museum, and the Japanese Gardens. The abundance of nature and stunning Mediterranean architecture contributes heavily to Florida Atlantic University students experiencing a high quality of life.
