Kingston University London (KUL) is a public research university situated in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, South West London. It was granted college status in 1992, before that it was known as Kingston Polytechnic. Its origins, however, go back to the Kingston Technical Institute, which was established in 1899. 

Located on the edges of one of the most bustling and exciting cities in the world, it is ranked among the top-ten universities in London in 2019's Guardian League Table. It also has a strong reputation in the fields of design, fashion, journalism, pharmacy and sports science.
