BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation
Individuals to entire sports teams. Amateurs to world champions. Youth leagues to club legends and beyond. This course will equip you with all the specialist skills needed to assist people at all levels of activity in their rehabilitation. Our Graduate Sport Rehabilitators (GSRs) are trained to be first response practitioners working pitch-side at sporting events, and are qualified to assess and treat musculoskeletal injuries from the point of injury. You’ll learn with a big emphasis on injury prevention and exercise prescription, including programming for return to sport, performance enhancement and improving health and function in populations with injury, illness and disease. Our School of Allied and Community Health within the Institute of Health and Social Care is one of the largest in the country, enabling you to study in a state-of-the-art environment within a wide and supportive network. There are also a number of opportunities available within this course, such as the chance to qualify as a registered Sports Massage Therapist, and to undertake the Pre-Hospital Immediate Care In Sport Course (Level 2), accredited by the Rugby Football Union (RFU).There are excellent onsite facilities at LSBU, including an Academy of Sport, a purpose-built onsite clinic, and state-of-the-art clinical and human performance laboratories. In addition to our top-class facilities, our central London location provides easy access to a range of exciting health, sport and exercise clinical placement opportunities, which you will undertake as an integral part of your course, allowing you to
