LLM Regulation and Compliance
This programme teaches you how to manage practical issues in compliance and regulation. You can take general and specialist modules in London or by online learning, to tailor your degree to your needs and career trajectory.
You may choose from the following pathways:
The programme consists of four core modules, which cover the problems facing regulation, conducting business ethically and lawfully, compliance systems and compliance in global markets.
You will select a range of elective ‘specialist’ modules and write an original research dissertation. The dissertation includes two elements: a specialist case study and a 5,000 word essay.
If you want to follow one of the specialised pathways, your elective modules and dissertation must be relevant to your specialism. Otherwise, you can choose a general route and select modules from across the pathways.
You can also study online for our Data Protection and Intellectual Property specialism. You may choose online learning elective modules worth up to 45 credits, rather than the London electives.
During your induction week, you are expected to attend a pre-sessional law course to refresh your understanding of relevant legal concepts.
