You focus on general surgical and specialist pathway knowledge and skills in an academic framework. Develop into a doctor with clinically relevant skills in your surgical specialism, underpinned by an understanding of the principles, concepts and evidence to support your practice. You adopt an evidence-based approach to your practice, developing your capability to undertake research in your specialist area. The course is relevant for current surgical trainees and international students working in general surgery, preparing you to progress in your career. The MCh course structure provides a logical progression and development of knowledge, understanding and skills, enhancing your learning experience. You are offered a range of pathways, so you can specialise and be awarded accordingly: This course is delivered collaboratively between Teesside University and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with support from surgical consultants, and faculty from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
