Course Overview

This research-based doctoral program explores the dynamic field of indigenous expression within new and emerging media landscapes. Candidates will undertake a significant, supervised research project that critically examines Māori and Indigenous communication practices, from social media and broadcasting to film and the creative arts. The resulting thesis can be presented in traditional written form or as a PhD with a Creative Practice Component.
