About the University

Trine University was initially named the Tri-State Normal College and was established in 1884. In 2008 the university’s name was changed to Trine to honour its trustees, Dr Ralph Trine and Dr Sheri Trine. With over 135 years of experience providing stellar education to students, the university offers accredited courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Currently, the university is home to over 4,646 students and has a graduate employment rate of 99.4%.

Trine university’s acceptance rate is 82%, and it has three intakes per year (fall, spring, and summer).

Campus Life

Trine University has a 450-acre campus located in Angola, Indiana. The campus is well equipped with a robust infrastructure attending to all the students’ needs, be they academic, extracurricular or and leisure. 

The university offers an array of on-campus accommodations like halls of residence, fraternities, sororities, and housing apartments with shared common areas like halls and dining rooms.

Student life

Trine University is very focused on giving its students a wholesome university experience. With a student to faculty ratio of 17:1, students can be assured of individualised attention from their professors and other staff members. 

The university also offers over 60 clubs and student organisations as extracurriculars. Students can also choose to stay in on-campus sororities and fraternities to mingle with fellow students. In addition to all this, Trine University is one of the very few universities with a professional golf course on campus.
