On-campus housing is available in 'dorms' that have been fully furnished, include Wi-Fi, contain modern amenities and can be either shared or private rooms. Students can socialise with other international students and get advice from American peer advisors.
There are multiple apartment options that come with facilities such as a pool, jacuzzi, volleyball courts and more. Situated in close proximity to an international grocery store, large park and shopping centre. The apartments are shared by 4 international students of the same gender in 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments. Homestay programmes are a good idea to integrate into American culture as a local trusted family takes international students into their household.
The Anteater Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art sports and fitness facility located on the east-side of Campus with classes for fitness and wellness, outdoor adventures (including sailing), and other organised programs.
The campus is smoke and tobacco-free, gets a lot of sunshine and the laid-back atmosphere in California radiates into the University grounds. Many international students come together to celebrate cultural events, make friends and play or spectate on University sports. The international student support at UCI Division of Continuing Education is profound due to the wealth of services designed especially for students. The University came second for diversity by The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education.
San Pablo, California is a more suburban area that provides residents with panoramic views from the hilltops. Situated in Contra Costa County, California, the area is known for having a vibrant multicultural community and a relaxed attitude. Everything you need is close by, including food shops, shopping outlets, bars and restaurants.
The UCI Bookstore is called The Hill and the Langson library has comprehensive materials on a variety of disciplines for students to use. The Science and Medical libraries are situated on campus and provide a wealth of learning support materials.
