The University of Connecticut is a public land-grant research university in Storrs, Connecticut. It was founded in 1881 as the Storrs Agricultural School and has since grown to prepare students for a starting salary of $46,400 in fields such as economics and communication.

Campuses
Vibrant Storrs is known for its aesthetic appeal as it has late 19th- and early 20th-century architecture lining its streets. The Celebrate Mansfield Festival draws a big crowd to the area, and places such as Shelter Falls Park or Moss Sanctuary make for great places students can hang out for free.
