MSc Advanced Computer Science

Overview

The MSc in Advanced Computer Science is intended for graduates who already have a first degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject, and who wish to extend the knowledge gained in their undergraduate study with more advanced specialised material reflecting current research at the “cutting-edge” of the discipline.

The programme comprises a sequence of modules focussing on the research strengths of the department. The programme is directed at careers in the IT industry that require a degree of research and development.

Accredited by the British Computer Society, The Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional.
