Library
The Andersonian Library is the primary library at the University of Strathclyde. You’ll be surprised to know that this is one of the largest academic libraries in Scotland, where you get over 1 million print volumes, more than 400,000 electronic books, and access to over 37,000 e-journals. At the library, you can also explore "The Nook," a wellbeing space where you can play puzzles, board games, and enjoy a cosy atmosphere for relaxation.
Sports
Strathclyde Sport is the university's GBP 31 million sports and wellbeing facility. Here, you get state-of-the-art sports amenities, including a 25-metre six-lane swimming pool, a fitness suite, two squash courts, a dance studio and many such facilities.
Laboratory
As a student at Strathclyde, you’ll have access to several specialised laboratories across various disciplines. Some of these include the Sustainable Labs, the Advanced Materials Research lab, StrathLab, and more.
Cafeteria
You can find several cafes and eateries on campus, operated by Nourish. Some spots where you can refuel yourself are Aura, Flava in the Andersonian Library, Grab and Go, the Sports Cafe, and Social Bite at Todd's.
Campuses
The University of Strathclyde's John Anderson campus is centrally located in Glasgow, Scotland. It is very close to the Townhead and Merchant City districts, and is within walking distance of major transport hubs and key city attractions.
Some popular spots you can visit include the Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow Necropolis, George Square & Glasgow City Chambers, Glasgow Green, and Buchanan Street. The city is also home to numerous museums, galleries, music venues, and theatres. You can visit the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Riverside Museum, and the Gallery of Modern Art.
The nearest subway station is Buchanan Street, just a 5-minute walk from campus. You’ll be within walking distance of the Queen Street Railway Station, where you can get various regional and national train services.
