Thanks to the campus’ cycle-friendly routes and safe bike storage facilities, it was also awarded the Gold Award by Cycling UK.

The University’s campus offers 500 acres of green space with ponds, gardens, lakes, 70 different species of trees and 20+ places to shop and eat. Apart from human beings, your fellow campus mates will also include ducks, geese, swans, grebes, moorhens, coots and herons.

Within the campus, you’ll see grade I and grade II listed buildings of heritage value such as King’s Manor and Heslington Hall. These are historical buildings built way back in medieval times and house conference halls, academic offices and more.
