Between 1895 and 1926 it was known as Fairmount College, after which it became the Municipal University of Wichita, finally gaining its current name in 1964. One of its claims to fame is housing the original building of the world’s first Pizza Hut restaurants on campus.
It currently has almost 17,000 students including more than 1,750 from 110 countries around the world.
