Sample 1

Describe a crowded place you have visited

  • Which crowded place do you visit?
  • How did you feel about that place?
  • Does that place create unforgettable memories?
  • Whom did you go with?

Last year, I went to the Times Square Ball in New York City for the New Year celebration. I saw thousands of people celebrating the evening with their friends. I visited that vibrant place with my friends and family. At 11:59 p.m., the countdown started. But I got a little panicky about the crowded area.

Whenever I waded through the crowded area with my family or friends, I lost track of my friends. I thought it was impossible to find my friends. It would be a big relief if I found them. After an extensive search, I found them. So when I was in Times Square, seeing the sea of people made me scared. Generally, Times Square is known as the ball drop. This bustling place was filled with live entertainment, dance and musical performances, and a lavish fireworks display at the top of the building.

The city police officials handled the crowd efficiently. They had stopped the fireworks for safety purposes. I was amazed when I looked at the new energy-efficient LED ball. Further, this place is also famous for Valentine's Day and Halloween. I thoroughly enjoyed it when I saw people cheering each other, and its dazzling lights and music made me so happy. It was the most unforgettable day for me.

After finishing the New Year celebration, we walked through the bustling streets of New York City. I enjoyed and celebrated the memorable New Year with my friends and siblings. When we looked at towering billboards that produce rich sparkling lights, along with the crowd of enthusiastic youngsters created an energetic vibe in us.

Describe a crowded place you have visited

  • Where did you go?
  • With whom did you spend that day?
  • Did you enjoy the day?
  • Did you have a new experience on that day?

I went to MGM Dizzee World, located in Chennai, India. I visited this place during the summer holidays with my family and neighbours. I was so excited to experience new adventures and rides because it was my first time visiting the theme park with my friends and family.

It is India's largest and oldest amusement park, and the reviews about it are good. Hence, we decided to go to MGM. It was a thrilling experience for me to enjoy the various rides, such as dashing cars, roller coasters, spider spins, ferris wheels, twisters, reindeer coasters, carousels, tornado coasters, balloon races, sky gliders, and kamikaze rangers.

The most memorable part was the Water World. It had two water parks for adults and kids, but these two were too crowded because of the summer holidays.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch and then visited the daring devil's house, where countless surprises were lurking waiting for us. I am a thrill-seeking person, so I enjoyed it thoroughly and shouted so loudly.

Next, we entered the carnival games, and that day, I won the classic fun games and got prizes. We all thoroughly enjoyed the colourful festival environment of the theme park. Before leaving the place, we took memorable photos and had a tasty dinner. Through this experience, my family and my neighbours became friends. It was a special day for us.

Describe a crowded place you have visited

  • When did you visit that place?
  • Where did you go?
  • Do you like that place?
  • Do you want to visit that place again?

I went to a famous shopping mall, Phoenix Marketcity, located in Pune, Maharastra. It is a multi-floor building with prominent brands, cinemas, and restaurants. I visited the shopping mall with my family on Christmas day, so there was a lot of crowd.

It is a wonderful place where kids won't get bored because it has a play station. It also has two famous areas, Happy Planet and Fun City, where families can spend their leisure time. But that day, we didn’t enjoy game activities because there was the most overwhelming crowd I have ever seen.

They offered Christmas sales with attractive discounts. Many people bought essentials and branded clothes at a low cost. Due to the massive crowd, we picked the needed things, but we didn't buy those things after seeing the long queue of people at the bill counter.

Due to the overwhelming crowd, I was not able to breathe, and I got a headache. From that moment, I decided not to go to the shopping mall on such occasions. My family members felt the same way. We were all very disappointed. We totally wasted our precious time on crowded shopping.
