Our Mechanical Engineering masters course gives you the academic knowledge and training you need to become a Chartered Engineer as well as the opportunity to develop your team working and communication skills.

The course is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains up-to-date with current industrial practices and, in addition to the core modules, enables you to develop a specialism in either computational modelling, sustainable engineering or engineering design.

What you’ll learn

Through the course you will develop a comprehensive understanding of scientific principles, learn how to test and critically evaluate concepts and use engineering analysis and computational methods to assess the likely success of their application.

You’ll also gain an understanding about business strategy and operations, developing your project management skills and learning how to manage risks and work effectively as part of a team.

Accreditation

The MSc Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and meets the educational requirements of Chartered Engineer (CEng).
