This offers comprehensive and current coverage of the required capabilities and analytical approach that are inherent requirements for effective and employable intelligence analysts and managers.We are committed to providing you with the best learning experience. With smaller class sizes, you’ll have access to one-to-one teaching and support. The course team and visiting lecturing staff have been, or are still, intelligence and security practitioners and have military and police backgrounds. Our supportive course team tailor the content to ensure a more hands on/practical aspect to this course teaching you the different types of intelligence and skills needed to be effective in your future career.The course covers a wide range of intelligence-related subject areas, or domains, and links them to an understanding of the all-important need for intelligence to be an embedded, rather than distinct organisational function.The programme also ensures that graduates are able to understand and engage with the issues affecting organisations and businesses in terms of management of their non-intelligence related functions; such that intelligence analysis and management can be orientated to, and aligned with, organisational requirements.The development of confidence and capability will be emphasised from the very start of the programme, where students - having learned the core subject areas – will become practised and highly skilled in analysing intelligence and producing and delivering reports and outputs to a high standard.You will learn to thrive in a ‘challenge’ environment; where intelligence outputs will be tested and assumptions will be subject to detailed scrutiny and examination.We use current case studies and topical news stories to teach concepts and ideas, so you can relate to the events and know that you’re learning the very latest information to help you in your future careers.Staff are also constantly working to ensure that degree content remains aligned to the needs of employers. Due to our close proximity to London, and military locations in the area, guest speakers are always on hand to visit the University and enrich your learning.
