BA Geography with concentration in Environmental Studies
Our Geography programs emphasize human interactions with the physical environment, environmental law and policy, environmental economics and environmental management. The Urban Studies concentration takes advantage of the NJ/NY metropolitan setting and the wealth of social, political, cultural, economic and environmental interactions occurring within our area, as well as integrating faculty scholarship expertise in Africa, Latin America, China, India and Vietnam. Students in Geography gain practical skills using Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, experience with both field and laboratory techniques, and participate in research and internship opportunities.
A minimum of 120 credits of coursework is required for the baccalaureate degree with a minimum 2.0 overall GPA and a minimum 2.0 major GPA. However, more than 120 credits may be required depending upon the major field of study.
