PhD Biomechanics and Kinesiology - Physiology of Exercise Concentration
Course Overview
This doctoral program in Biomechanics and Kinesiology is a unique interdisciplinary collaboration between UNO's Department of Biomechanics and School of Health and Kinesiology. It prepares researchers to use evidence-based, clinical, and translational approaches to enhance human movement, physical activity, and rehabilitation across the entire health spectrum. Students can specialize in one of four distinct concentration areas to focus their expertise.
Key Program Highlights
- Joint program integrating biomechanics, physiology, motor control, and psychology
- Focus on evidence-based clinical and translational research
- Problem-solving approach for disease prevention and health enhancement
- Four specialized concentrations: Biomechanics, Physiology of Exercise, Motor Development and Control, and Physical Activity
- Designed to develop researchers who improve movement function and physical activity
