Environmental engineers use engineering principles and design to solve problems for a wide variety of environmental concerns. From cleaning up hazardous waste to designing wetlands to producing "green’’ products, environmental engineers literally work to make the world a better place.
The civil and environmental engineering program at WSU provides a strong civil engineering foundation with a broad environmental component that emphasizes air and water quality, air pollution control, water and wastewater treatment, and hazardous waste management and remediation, including both natural and engineered systems.
