It is always amazing to play a sport, and since cricket is such an exciting sport, it didn’t take me much time to start spending energy on it. Activities that cater to your fitness are vital, and being a sports fanatic, I have always had the urge to be on the field with cricket.

I play cricket at least once a day. It might range from playing it with a group of friends or even alone in a net setting, with an automated bowling machine. Be it a match or practice session, it just makes my day better.

To avoid travel, I play cricket in my backyard, where there is ample space. Due to my fixed schedule, I play in the evenings.

Cricket keeps me active, flexible, and healthy. Everyone needs an activity to keep them energised and mentally fit. Playing cricket gives me that, and helps me de-stress.

Winning has always been important to me. I enjoy the competitiveness and team spirit that people bring to the game. Cricket has also instilled a strong sense of discipline, allowing me to organise my goals and complete them.

One particular routine I’ve been following since my teenage days is, doing yoga on a daily basis and the changes I’ve seen in myself are immense. It keeps my mind, body, and soul activated and healthy.

Every morning, right after waking up, I practice for at least 20 minutes. The types of sessions range from intense ones to light meditations, depending on the time I have.

Since this doesn’t require much space, I practice on my terrace. It is rejuvenating to start the day by breathing fresh air and watching birds pass by.

Health benefits aside, yoga also makes my mind healthier and lighter. It does not take a lot of my time, compared to the other activities I do.

There are a lot of reasons why I enjoy doing yoga, mainly because it keeps me stress-free. Additionally, it keeps me happier throughout the day.

  • What change has this brought about?

Learning to play an instrument is always challenging, especially when it comes to the guitar. I have always enjoyed the tonality of guitars more than other musical instruments.

Playing the guitar is a huge part of my daily routine and I try my best to not miss it. I have the habit of trying out new songs that I listened to during the day. While it takes me time to learn the process in a step-by-step manner, I also keep track of my progress with the instrument. Daily practice helps improve dexterity and sharpens my memory.

I usually have this scheduled during the night before bedtime. I’ve made small arrangements to my room by turning it into a studio setup. It is soundproof, making the practice sessions calm and noise-free.

Music has played an important role in keeping my mind stable and peaceful. From a young age, I’ve challenged myself to learn and master the guitar, and seeing my progress on a day-to-day basis gives me immense satisfaction.

Wherever I go, the ability to play the guitar has always been a crowd-puller. It has made me break the ice in a lot of situations. It brings about a happy and positive feeling and it eases my mind.
